Keyware delighted to be acquitted
Enterprise focuses on its customer service
Keyware (EURONEXT Brussels: KEYW) informs on the verdict of the Court with respect to a court case against Keyware Smart Card Division.
Keyware Smart Card Division, a subsidiary of the stock-listed Keyware Technologies, is delighted to hear that they have been acquitted by the court of appeal for alleged fraud and irregular advertising practices. This brings an end to the lawsuit in which the public prosecutor’s office instituted a claim on the basis of a complaint from a number of customers lodged with FPS Economy.
“We are not that surprised: we knew we always have been and still are doing the right thing. We are pleased that the Court now shares that opinion and we can now return our full focus on our business operations.”
Stéphane Vandervelde, CEO Keyware Technologies
Keyware was accused by the public prosecutor of ‘forgery’, ‘fraud’, ‘attempted fraud’, ‘misleading advertising’ and ‘banned advertising’, but has been acquitted on all counts.
“It was clear to us from the get-go that our company cannot be blamed for anything. Our contract policy is very clear and guarantees the most advantageous rates. Our customer service is highly regarded and our contract policy allows us to apply advantageous rates. All these elements simply play in favour of our customers/sellers. We will continue to follow that strategy.”
